In recent months, the Holy Spirit has been prompting many individuals to pray for the healing of fractured family ties and partnerships. Many were inspired to plant seeds of restoration, employing creativity in the process. These seeds will yield their fruit at the appropriate time, though initial results are already visible.
We will soon embark on two additional flows of the Holy Spirit. The first involves learning to rest under the Holy Spirit's guidance. While this journey will largely be enjoyable, there will be unexpected attacks from the enemy. These will encourage the body of Christ to engage in prayerful warfare from a position of rest and triumph in Jesus.
On the path to peace and rest, there will also be "spiritual milk" and sweet refreshments in communion with the Holy Spirit for those beginning to learn to prayfully contend for their inheritance from a place of rest. As I reflected on what I believe the Holy Spirit was revealing, I recalled 1 Corinthians 3:2-3, where the apostle Paul wrote to the church, "I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly." I believe the initial part of the journey involves bringing rest and refreshment to the church body, while also realizing the need to address unresolved issues in people's hearts.
The second journey involves exploring the darkness within people's hearts, refining them along the way. We live in a time of the Laodicean church, which appears fine on the outside, but spiritually, believers are blind, filled with shame, and God is not moved by the prayers of "western style churches".
The word of God says that, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart,…” The refining process brings the fire of the Holy Spirit that is bringing out the “snakes” and consuming various negativities in order to produce spiritual valuables. “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.” - Revelation 3:18.
