Winemakers follow six steps in their craft: growing, harvesting, crushing, pressing, fermentation, clarification, and aging/bottling.
Likewise, the Holy Spirit acts as a winemaker, cultivating fruit in the life of someone who welcomes the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the gift of new joy undergoes a process that requires time and several stages.
Managing pain requires handling self-defense mechanisms, addressing painful memories and hidden emotions such as sadness or fear, unraveling false beliefs, and accepting the truth. This process can often feel overwhelming for a survivor. However, the ultimate outcome is a heart that is complete and beautifully filled with newfound joy.
It is the artistic journey of accepting aging and growth, where a talented artist creates a new life painting, showcasing the individual's acquired wisdom and the beauty of their character.
It's the journey of crafting a masterpiece - a new You!
Managing pain doesn't have to be tragic or depressing when one understands the process involved and the outcome. Inner healing becomes a beautiful art when the skilled winemaker and artist, the Holy Spirit, oversees the wine-making process.
Let me pray for you:
Father, I pray that the person reading this blog post today gains a fresh perspective on the challenges they are currently facing. I ask that you grant them the grace of the Holy Spirit's fruit, bringing new joy at the end of their current inner healing journey. I also pray for the grace to let go of any held unforgiveness or bitterness that may be hindering them from receiving the gift of new joy. In Jesus' name, I pray.
