Many of you following Creative Helping Hands blog are on a pioneering journey with guidance of the Holy Spirit. While most have already uncovered a divinely given design and purpose for their lives, questions about the Lord's next direction may linger. This journey includes restoration, often healing broken relationships along the way, but it is also a maturing journey. This season, the Holy Spirit is inviting us on various new "train rides" of the pioneering journey, and here is what lies ahead for us.
The current movement of the Holy Spirit focuses on discipline and obedience to authority. Along the journey, the Holy Spirit assigns individuals who are like police inspectors who assist pioneers in maintaining order. The sense of unrestricted freedom that many pioneers feel in their hearts is tempered by their willingness to relinquish this wild impulse. The journey follows a specific order and schedule, and those who do not adhere to it will miss out and will not enjoy all the benefits of this spiritual journey.
The upcoming phase of the journey focuses on relationships! During this stage, pioneers are discovering how to honor specific rules and respect others' boundaries, while also embracing the joy of friendship. True relationships are not centered on selfish motives, hidden agendas, manipulation, or flattery. Relationships aligned with godly principles involve speaking truth with love and cherishing each other's presence along the way.
If you wish to start the maturing phase of the journey, removing wilderness from your heart, you can prayerfully request the Holy Spirit to guide you on the next “train ride” He has arranged for the “wild ones”.
