We have been on a restoration journey with the guidance of the Holy Spirit for several months. While this journey is concluding for some, and a new one is beginning, there appears to be grace available to continue riding the wave of restoration, rather than a wave of calamity.
Some are succumbing to negative thought patterns as the enemy agitates the turbulent waters of emotional highs and lows, while others are embracing the grace of restored relationships and experiencing small victories, bearing early fruits.
Many people, in their private moments, are asking the Holy Spirit questions such as “Why won't he/she tell me what I did wrong to him/her?” as they seek to mend broken relationships, believing that knowing the answer would enable them to make a change.
The grace of restoration does not function in the manner we expect the Holy Spirit to resolve our relationship issues and foster unity. Instead, it invites us to cultivate a deeper intimacy and surrender to the Holy Spirit's guidance, being open to addressing our own flawed motives and attitudes. From this foundation, we can create lasting change that influences our families and other people along the way.
Divine restoration begins by addressing internal conflicts and tackling issues such as unforgiveness, stubbornness, and rebellion, to facilitate external transformation (such as opening new opportunities, resolving specific problems, or altering circumstances). This restoration is a process guided by divine intervention, requiring genuine inner change, free from manipulation or insincere apologies. It is also a time-intensive process involving multiple steps.
If you're grappling with questions and seeking to mend broken relationships, you can request the Holy Spirit for the grace to submit to His refining process, which first transforms and brings healing to your own heart, and in the process blesses other hearts too.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” - Romans 12:2
“Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.” - Romans 13:2
